Dave Davis is the President of Hotel Marketing Group. An award-winning creative designer and graphic artist, Dave attended the prestigious Art Institute of Los Angeles and is a graduate of San Diego State University with an advanced degree in marketing communications and fine arts.

Dave has three decades of professional experience in marketing, public relations and advertising in the hospitality industry, starting his career with Atlas Hotels, Inc. through Crest Advertising in San Diego. Dave spent 17 years with Atlas Hotels as Director of Advertising, developing an expertise in promoting to a variety of market segments including, convention, trade show, leisure packaging and individual corporate travel, tour group, theme restaurants and health facilities.

Founder of Davis Design & Communications in 1986, Dave has worked with hundreds of hotel properties both domestically and internationally in a marketing and advertising management capacity, creating thousands of ads, collateral pieces and marketing tools. Over the past 19 years in business Dave Davis has lead Davis Design & Communications through mergers and expansions into Davis McDowell, Inc. in 1994 and in 2000 to (dba) Hotel Marketing Group, a hotel advertising, marketing, public relations and web design company now representing hotels, hotel associations, convention bureaus, restaurants, management companies, allied and associated hospitality providers and purveyors.

Linda Davis is the Vice President and CFO of Davis McDowell, Inc. With roots in the hospitality industry dating back to 1975, Linda’s first international adventure took her to La Serena, Chile on a rotary scholarship, later attended Schiller University in Madrid, Spain and is a graduate of California State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and a minor in International Political Science.

Linda Davis founded South of the Border Enterprises, a reservations, sales, marketing and management company for hotels in Mexico in 1983 and successfully operated her business for 12 years.  A bilingual executive, Linda has consulted for several hotel companies internationally including Grupo Une of Mexico and Accor International on bilateral projects related to eco tourism and hotel development. A pioneer in niche marketing and packaging of accommodations, Linda Davis was one of the first pioneers to successfully develop markets in Cabo San Lucas, La Paz, East Cape and some Mexican Riviera areas. Linda has worked with several foreign tourism offices, hotel and airline partners. A multicultural and politically sensitive executive, Linda has worked on consulting projects in countries throughout the North American continent, Hawaii and Southeast Asia. Linda Davis and Dave Davis became partners in Hotel Marketing Group in 1998 after working on joint projects internationally for seven years.
